Reviews

"The Montana Gallagher Collection is adventurous and romantic with scenes that transport you into the wild west."
—InD'tale Magazine

"This series is spell-binding. Once you start it you cannot put it down."
—Jacqueline Clark

"A good story can have a little bit of romance, a little bit of adventure, and a little bit of mystery all rolled up into one. Ms. McClintock’s Gallagher’s Hope delivers all that and more."
—A Book Lover's Library

"I can’t get enough of this Gallagher family. This book is as action packed as the first one and I can’t wait to read number three. The challenges they face, the strange way they meet their spouses & the trials they overcome for love and family and land. Highly recommend reading it."
—Kindle Customer

"Very strong characters and storyline. This story shows the strength of family love and how it can overcome anything thrown at them. The Gallagher brothers face an old foe and try to protect their families. Gabriel faces not only the old foe but some trouble his new wife faces. I would definitely recommend this book to any reader of western genre. A page Turner from start to finish."
—Margaret Vickers

The Author

Award-winning author MK McClintock writes historical romantic fiction about courageous and honorable men and strong women who appreciate chivalry, like those in her Montana Gallagher, British Agent, and Crooked Creek series. Her stories of adventure, romance, and mystery sweep across the American West to the Victorian British Isles, with places and times between and beyond. With her heart deeply rooted in the past, she enjoys a quiet life in the northern Rocky Mountains.

Rousseau Mansion, New Orleans—October 1883

NOTHING EXISTED OF THE life she had known.

Her slender arm wrapped around the little boy’s shoulder and pulled him closer to her side. She could feel his slight trembling and wished more than anything that she could take away his sadness. They were alone in the world. They had each other, and she prayed that would be enough for them both.

They stood and listened as the priest gave the final blessing, and two men lowered the caskets into the ground. The few other mourners who had been kind enough to attend the funeral asked her to leave with them, but she needed the closure. She needed her eyes to see what her heart refused to accept. “An unfortunate affair,” everyone called the incident, for it wasn’t every day that a man murdered his wife and then shot himself. Isabelle wished not to think on the possible reasons why, but she couldn’t seem to help herself. She never imagined her family to be anything but happy. Their father’s death, however, revealed the truth. No one spoke of it with them, of course, but the lawyer had made the situation quite clear.

They were penniless.
